TAUPO AIRPORT AUTHORITY
Taupo Airport is located in the center of the North Island of New Zealand and 8km south of the town centre, next to New Zealand's largest lake, Lake Taupo. The Airport has approximately 45,000 aircraft movements per year, with approximately 6,000 of these being IFR. Air NZ link connects this popular tourist region with regular link services from both International Airports at Wellington and Auckland.

WELLINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Wellington International Airport Limited (WIAL) is one of New Zealand's three largest airports. For the year to 31 March 2003 it handled 3.9 million passengers, of which 450,000 were international. For the same year there were 112, 490 aircraft movements. The airport has a single 1,936 metre runway and is a major domestic hub in the regional and national transport system, together with providing international services across the Tasman to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

WHANGAREI AIRPORT
situated at Handforth Street, Onerahi, is an easy 10 minute drive from the city centre. The location within the pleasant harbour side suburb of Onerahi means that local shops and accommodation are even closer at hand. Ample car parking is provided and well lit. Security is not provided but video cameras are in use. A drop off zone is situated just outside the departures entrance to assist with unloading of cars. The Airport Terminal building is modern and air-conditioned. It provides a toilet for the disabled and a baby changing table.

HAMILTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
Hamilton International Airport operates both domestic and international flights on a regular basis. Domestic airlines that operate to and from Hamilton Airport are: Air New Zealand, Origin Pacific and Sun Air. Freedom Air International runs regular flights to four Australian ports - Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, and the Gold Coast. There is also a scheduled service to Fiji.

INVERCARGILL AIRPORT
Invercargill is situated on the south coast of the South Island of New Zealand and located close to the southern tourist attractions of Queenstown, Fiordland, Stewart Island and the Catlins. The airport has a modern terminal building and international arrival and departure facilities are also available. It has a sealed runway of length 1,710 metres, currently being extended to 2,210 metres. Not only does it receive occasional charter flights from Australia, it is used by Qantas for diverted flights between Australia and Queenstown if Queenstown airport is inoperable due to adverse weather conditions.
